FROM THE EDITORS DESK- Thirty Eighth Issue, June 2013

Hi Friends!
Every day millions and millions of aircraft transit through the Indian skies, landing at and depart from our airports, transporting billions of passengers safely to their homes. The explosion of Air Travel has greatly transformed our lives bringing great benefits to the business world & Commerce,Tourism and Society at large.

On any given day, thousands of flights are guided safely through the skies. Whether they are carrying passengers or cargo, flight crews are responsible for their load, and when they fly they rely entirely on the professionalism of Air Traffic Controllers, the systems they use and all the people behind the scenes who make this journey so unique.
The International Day of the Air Traffic Controller, celebrated on 20 October each year, not only celebrates this unique profession, but also celebrates the men and women who 24/7 help make air travel the safest possible mode of transport.
Let us today salute and celebrate the contribution of all the women and men, all the remarkable Indians who have steered aviation as it is now through thick and thin to reach to its present glorious heights.
