Undobtedly the beginning is promising for Indian Aviation and the world at large. Spicejet, the no- frills airlines has recorded a net profit of Rs.108.9 crores against losses in the previous year, for the quarter ending 31st Dec2009.The times for the low cost no frills airlines have ultimately come. LCCs like SpiceJet, GoAir, IndiGo have collectively been able to grab 10% more market share than before. As the full services flights focus on the point to point services the low cost carriers filled the gaps with their on time services as hopping flights with lot of attractive fares to all their passengers. This has undoubtedly resulted into welcome growth in the passengers use of LCC as their mode of travel.

It is reported that terrorist organizations may be planning to hijack an airplane — probably an Air India or Indian Airlines aircraft flying to, or from, a SAARC country. Another intelligence input: that the Lashkar-e-Toiba has shopped for over 50 sets of paragliding equipment in Europe. The equipment has been bought to carry out airborne attacks using suicide bombers, as per Indian Government sources.

They said intelligence agencies were picking up information about plans to carry out aerial strikes on important buildings and installations around Republic Day. Consequently, security forces have been put on high alert and security around all vital installations has been tightened. Mock drills are on to thwart a possible aerial attack, sources said. Combating growing ATF prices, slackening economy and security threats like intelligence inputs about possibilities of Indian Aircraft/Airport unlawful interference we are still flying to a better future. With more PPP Airports, facilities, passenger utilities and terminals. The flight to SAFE, ORDERLY AND EXPEDITIOUS JOURNEY to PASSENGER COMFORT AND DELIGHT. So God help us....
